The original buildings at Grøndalsvængets Skole were completely renovated in 2019, and two new buildings were added.
The project, designed by JJW Arkitekter, won the Municipality of Copenhagen’s Building Award 2020 and was nominated for the RENOVER Prize 2020.
The new buildings are built in recycled bricks, using both whole and half bricks, and with a lime mortar.
Different dressings have been used in the stylish design and with recessed fields, roller changes in the plinths and holes for ventilation, the brickwork is brought to life.
