Lime mortar (20kg) 0-4 mm with up to 30% reclaimed aggregate

We are proud of our lime mortar, which contains up to 30% aggregate of purified lime mortar sand. This innovative solution ensures that we can reuse the old mortar from our cleaning process.

Hydraulic lime mortar, also known as NHL mortar (natural hydraulic lime), is a strong mortar that is also easy to work with. Its unique properties make it ideal for many construction projects, both restoration and new construction.

The mortar is workable for up to 6 hours after mixing, which reduces waste and ensures an easier workflow on the construction site.

Hydraulic lime mortar is an excellent alternative to cement-based mortars in modern construction. The flexible structure of lime mortar makes it resistant to cracking and ensures that both facades and structures achieve a natural and durable appearance. Cement mortar is often impossible to remove from brick after demolition and the bricks will therefore never be able to be reused.

Advantages of lime mortar;

  • Good adhesion to brick – normal suction 1.5 – 2.5
  • Promotes recycling and reduces waste Longer working time after mixing compared to cement mortar
  • Ideal for new construction where separation and recycling are desired in the future
  • Easy to color Light base color that goes well with old bricks (cement gives a completely different gray expression on the facade)
  • With our hydraulic lime mortar, strength and aesthetics are combined in a way that supports the functionality of your project.

Contact us for more information and guidance on how lime mortar can be used in your construction project.

NHL mortar is supplied with different strengths depending on the application, including:

– 35-65-500: General mortar for bricklaying and plastering.

– 20-80-475: Strong mortar for harsh environments.

Gamle Mursten’s lime mortar is classified as a CE approved mortar in accordance with EN998-1 and EN998-2: 2016.
