Several areas of Tscherning’s HQ features recycled bricks from Gamle Mursten, which adds to the building’s unique design, look and feel.
The bricks came from Old Gladsaxe School, where they had previously been recycled from other buildings, this is therefore the third time that these bricks have been given new life in a building. The walls within this quirky and interesting head office are deliberately not plastered to give a raw and urban look, letting the bricks add warmth and a honest expression.
CE-marked red machine-cleaned bricks were used for the project as they are particularly suited to masonry with a rustic look as the cleaning process gives them characteristic details such as rounded edges and a strong upcycled look. . The images are kindly provided by Tscherning Huset
